Chassis:
Chassis 1501 was the second of the 'production' Squires, using the underslung chassis. It was bought new by Val Zethrin, who would go on to buy all of the company's assets. The rolling chassis was sent to Ranelagh, where it was fitted with an elegant four-seater body. Before the end of the decade Zethrin sold the Squire to a Doreen Gibson, who used the car extensively, touring Europe both before and after the War.
Gibson eventually sold the car to an American enthusiast. Since the 1980s the car had not been seen in public until it was displayed by Fiskens at Retromobile in January 2011. The longtime owner had stripped the car of its paint but that's where the restoration had stopped. The Squire was presented in rough but complete condition. Not surprisingly the very rare machine found a new, and was subsequently restored. The work was completed in 2015, and the car was then shown at the 2016 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
