Chassis:
Chassis 2114 was the third of four Tipo A6G54 chassis clothed by Carrozzeria Frua with a coupe body. Shortly after it was completed the 2000 Gran Turismo was displayed at the 1955 Paris Motor Show. It was subsequently sold to its first owner; a Paris resident. Since then it has changed hands only a very few times. During the late 1980s it resurfaced painted red with a red stripe. Between 2000 and 2002, chassis 2114 was completely restored and repainted in the correct black colour. During the 2000s, the beautiful Maserati was part of the collection of Jay Kay, the lead singer of the British band Jamiroquai.
