Chevy found a decent design with the bel air. Like the simplicity. But it looks to be 50 years old |
GM needs this car |
GuessMyBrand 22-2-2003 |
"A 315 hp five cylinder!? This is great. The engine an car should be inexpensive enough to put this car sub 25K. And it will have the power and styling to compete with Ford's new retro convertables. Will it get the die-hard Mustang or Thunderbird fan? No, but it will get those looking for an affordable, powerful, comfortable, stylish convertable. GM has the opportunity with the Bel-Air to do all of these at half the price of the Thunderbird. 'Cmon GM, bring back the Bel-Air philosophy as well; style, comfort, and power for the masses on a for-the-masses budget." |
Build this please |

Come on Mr. Lutz, just build this and I would return to buy a GM car. Build it on the upcoming small/medium truck chasis, sell it for below 35K and watch us line up. |
