"I purchase the XB because it's practical. 31/35 MPG, very roomy interior and a long list of Standard features such us ABS, traction control/VSC, A/C, Power windows/locks, CD player etc. As for the body, well I'm getting alot of thumbs up sign on the freeway and I'm soon to make a list of top 10 Frequently Asked Question about the Scion XB. Young kids to senior citizens already approached me inquiring about the this car. I changed my wheels from 15"" to 18"" rims which complimented the cutting-edge/trendy body lines. This vehicle is priced right with No dealer mark-ups. Toyota will sell a lot of these cars."
 Stupid Name-uglier than an Aztec

"Every time Toyota comes out with a new product, the automotive press presumes its a great marketing & technical achievement. This is the only vehicle that is truly more repulsive than a Pontiac Aztec, and I thought that was just about damn near impossible. The name Scion has no meaning to the majority of Americans as far as a new lineup goes; then there's these alpha-numeric designations for models mostly from Japan/Germany, eg. rx300, g35, 300e, & bbx?. I figure if you would'nt name your dog by a number type designation, then why in the hell would you do so for something as personal as your ride. The only name this box needs is Rodan-from the Godzilla movies. It sure does not deserve the self defining identity of a Thunderbird, Charger or even Neon.-MLH-engr"

This is what the youth of America needs. Any one who disagrees is not looking at the entire picture. I will say that the xB is good on gas and will be used as a highway and urban cruise type vehicle.(The 4 cylinder is perfect for emission standards in Cali) This is an automobile that all teens should at least think about purchasing. Its roomy, looks different, and can be modified into just about any thing that you wish. The xB is the positive result to hazardous and wreckless driving habits so common among inexperienced and horsepower hungry teen drivers. A wider wheelbase and smaller engine are safety concerns. Any one who does not see the potential in the design of the xB is basically an idiot. This is what people have been asking for, its about time an automobile company notices! If you dont like it keep your mouth shut and buy a Rolls Royce!

As a teenager, I must say that this car is RETARTED. What happened to wanting to go fast and having a car that doesn't look like some sort of Russian economy car. I expected very little from Scion when I heard of them for the first time, and this just confirms it. They're capitalizing on stupid kids with bad taste (which is a very good idea), but it's just insulting to us who prefer preformance and real style over fads.
 The Toyota bB

Hey guys, I am an American living in Japan and I've been driving a Toyota bB for a long time. I LOVE my bB, it's the best car I've ever owned. I have some mixed feelings about the Scion line though... I feel that the plain appearance of the bB is it's most attractive feature. The Scion BBX removes most of the features that make the bB unique. (bB stands for Black Box, afterall.) I also agree that Toyota should build a new line from scratch and leave the original models alone. They're usually better that way. Well, at least I know that I can export my bB to America when I return!
 Good idea, Badly executed

I agree that the Toyota brand needs a lift from it's family car/cardigan patroler image. But I don't think cars such as the Scion BBx are going to do it for them. Make the car look good, but incorporate the features in this concept car, and you may be onto something though....

"This is Toyota's lastest development to try to get many buyers from Gen-""Y."" I for one, do not like the styling too much, and don't think it'll sell well compared to the similar Honda Element. Thos car will be cheap and customizable as its aimed toward the younger generation. Good Luck Toyota."""

When you look into the Japanese Toyota site, you find that this car are an old Toyota model as Lexus are. Dont understand this policy,in Japan you have many great models. But when you introduce a new brand like this and as for Lexus, you dont take an existing Toyota and say BANG and put either the Scion badge and or the Lexus badge on it and blow it up and throw it into the market. Then you are car maker on the run in the long term. What leaders there are here had been fired if I had been i charge. When you build a carbrand, you build it from scratch with it's own identity and style, you dont take a car from your garage and say hey, this is something new and why havn't you in the press said this before. Are you jus ta marketing tool??? So my judgement here, a disaster and very ugly and it's not trendy. Gosh!!!!!1
