In my point of view, it looks somehow like the nsx in a modern way

hey guys, i think you all have forgotten that Japan has a law that restrict the max horse power output of any production car in japan... it is limited to 300 i believe, but some place say 280, that's why the skyline was underrated, and if honda really wanted to break the 300hp limit, it would be a piece of cake, they're all just holding back, and as for the HSC, the tail lights has to go, but the rest looks great, if they ever going to produce this car, i hope to see little change to the concept beside the taillights..
 Just what I think....

Compliments to the chief on the HSC! This car is beautiful addition to the Honda/Acura collection. However, I personally admire the concept drawing a bit more. I have been waiting for Honda to come out with an untaimed beast machine, which I thought was going to occur with the dualnote or sproket, but I guess not. Nonetheless, I beleive this car, with its sharp, precise, and down right good looks, has what it takes to be a number one seller. Now back to you Bob....
 just clear it up.

ok, first of all, no where in that whole article did it say anything about replacing the NSX. why would honda look to replace a car that has made so much money for them, not to mention the fact that the NSX is the basis for import luxury sports cars in the U.S.A. coming out of Japan? second of all, as for the taillights, someone who posted mentioned that they didn't like them because it looks as if they belong on a car from the fifties, yet, at the same time mentioned that the tail lights on a skyline, which are very similar mind you, has worked so well. that being said, why would you hate the tail lights on the HSC? if you look at the tail lights closely, you will notice that the actual LEDs are in one outer circle on the lens. then, the inside rings look more like mirrored images of the outer circle. if this is how they actually are, wouldn't everyone agree that they are from the 21st century, and not from the fifties? think about it, if tail lights that look similar to this can work on cars such as the altezza, is 300, or skyline, why wouldn't they be able to work on a honda HSC? good question huh? but anyways, i guess these are all just opinions, and everyone has them. the beautiful thing about opinions is that none of them are wrong. but just one last thought, why does everyone think that the HSC is going to replace the NSX, especially seeing as honda has plans to debut the new NSX in 2005, and they have debuted the already new NSX in the beginning of 2003.
 Whats wrong with the taillights?

"This is just a reply to balance's statement "" I think that those tail lights are truly out of place - they belong on a '60s American muscle car, not a 21st century sports car."" If you take a look at a Skyline R-34 the tail lights are quite similar and that is one of the most famous imports around. And i agree with everyone that it was about time the NSX had a ne look, and it still needs more power. I think we can expect more great designs form honda in the future."
 finally ! !

CONGRATULATIONS HONDA ! ! ! ! it is very good to find out that finally Honda has created a perfect replacement for the NSX. 300 Hp is enough to have great performance and as it is a V6 I think it is one of the best engines around. Now, just a little comment, the shape of the car although is almost perfect has something that as I can see some people agree with me. The taillights of this car just don't convince me. they look strange and take something of the car. If those taillights stay, this car is going to have a lack of image and well, considering all the great details that this car has in the whole body taking out the taillights will improve the image of the car. thank you Honda, it is the best replacement ever.... now the NSX can rest in peace.

A fitting replacement to the NSX. I think I see a touch of Vette, RX7, and Modena in there. All in all, it's a stylish and contemporary treatment that looks about production ready. I, too, hope for a little more engine. If Honda can get 240 horses out of two liters for the S2000, they can surely scrounge up a few more for the new NSX. The competition has shown up with the horses on their flagship sports cars. So must Honda.
About time Honda, but those tailights

Great to see that Honda is getting serious about building a replacement for the superb, but rather old, NSX. The vast majority of the exterior styling looks really good - it screams out the cars intentions of being fast and agile. I think that those tail lights are truly out of place - they belong on a '60s American muscle car, not a 21st century sports car. Have to say I agree with you Wannaberich about the power output - 300hp doesn't cut it in this day and age when some of it's competitors have anywhere between 350 and 400hp. Honda, we know you're the kings of specific power outputs, you're going to need at least 120hp/litre out of this car for people to really sit up and take notice. I really want to see an NSX replacement with AT LEAST 360hp and a top speed of at least 280km/h, preferably 300. Without having the same sort of racing success to fall back on when the NSX was conceived, Honda are going to have to work VERY hard to make a car that people will see as having the same sort of stature as a 911, F355 or 360 Modena. I would honestly like to see them pull it off.

Finally, a new NSX...The NSX is a great looking sports car, but it's more than a decade old and seriously overdue for a replacement. This HSC is a worthy replacement for the NSX. Great looking and great engine. For the American and European market, it's going to need more horses than 300...
