"I will definitly be the first one around with one. The new Nomad looks awesome and sticks to it's roots by having a ""little extra push"". I can't wait for Chevrolet to start producing these. I have also heard something about a possible new Chevelle? I saw it in a magazine somewhere...it had around 350 stock horsepower. Could just be a myth though??"

"I still don't understand the thought process behind these GM owners and engineers. The new Nomad does not fancy me at all. It looks like a stretched mini cooper. I would have thought they would have made the new Nomad look more the the classic Nomad but just with a retro flair. This car screams ""wannabe high class"" with a pathetic little 4 banger under the hood(wooptey doo 250hp with a turbo,oh boy}. With the technology they have today, they could easily drop an hp 350 in it and still squeeze out a good 20-24 mpg, and give the new hemi magnum some competition. Plus, when you want to put an exhaust system on it, it's gonna sound like a wet fart. This car is a slap in the face to the Nomad of present years. I've been a chevy guy ever since I was a little kid, but they are making it real hard for me to have faith in them. Spend money on bringing back the Camaro and go back to the drawing board for a new Nomad. And drop a V-8 in it!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Looks good to me!! I owned a 55 Nomad for a long time, been looking for another but if your going to make a new one. I would rather wait and be the first one on my block to have a new one.... always thought it would be a kool retro. making it smaller lighter and more vett like is really great. Build em, I'll buy one!!

What can I say. The NOMAD is the car.I'll bet the Saturn Curve and the Pontiac Solstice does not get the responce and attention that the NOMAD gets... The NOMAD is instantly reconized as a Chevy. It doesn't need the horizontal chrome bar in the grille that most of the Chevy line-up has. That will be a passing thing. The NOMAD has a timeless design that will never get outdated.I'm sorry that the Corvette people don't like the retro look of the NOMAD, but that is what is selling cars today. The Nomad is a simple straight foward car. No 2 or 3 Dvd players, no high tech electronic gizmo's, just a kickin' cd player with a couple of sub-woofers.I can't wait to be the first on the block with a NOMAD! I just hope that Chevy has the foresight to produce it soon as possible. Go Chevy...
