Hi there, my name is Robert I am at Mexico city and I am very happy to found this Forum about the Daewoo Matiz, this car is particulary new in the Mexican market it has only 5 years being here and it is sold under the manufacturer "Pontiac" this is only for market availability and well I bought one last november, but my wife fall in love of this little friend and took it from me, big deal!!!, now I will continue driving my old '92 Mercury Grand Marquis and my wife and kids are enjoying "my" new car.
Well, it is not that bad, in fact I never though this car will be in a such good quality assembly, also the quality of the materials is good it does not have any sounds at the interior, this is very good because all the most common cars sold here in Mexico are American Brands or Europeans just one Asian "Nissan" and let me tell you this car is more enjoyable than a Ford Ka, or a Dodge Neon for the same price, good for Daewoo now a part of the General Motors giant.
Well if there is any comments I will be more than happy to talk about this car.
Saludos desde mexico!!!!

here in czech republic daewoos are quite popular, because of their price, even though daewoo doesn't have good reputation, because of build quality... i think that rebadging it to chevrolet will make it much more desirable...
btw some dealers even began to offer a free exchange of badges on your daewoo, to make it into a chevrolet :]
would it sell better than Daewoo?

This is the follow-up of the popular Daewoo Matiz, produced in Korea, and Uzbekistan. Just wondering whether the name Chevrolet would make it a better seller than Daewoo, as Daewoo is a very popular brand name in asia, not only with respect to cars.
