One year exactly today, I decided to get my BMW 330i M-Sport. The more I learn about the car the better I keep feeling I made the best choice.

When BMW was developing the new generation 6-series, the engineers were probably wondering what kind of entry level engine the 630i car should have. It needed to have high performance, but also be lightweight and solid and reliable. How could they design an engine and block with the best performance, without resorting to turbos or direct injection (which was still experimental at the time - later HPFP issues on the early direct injection engine cars - proof of this). So they developed an awesome engine described elsewhere on this page.

A handful of years later the E90 was going to be released and needed a good engine for the top of the range. The decided on the N52 first developed for the aforementioned 630i. So putting this engine into the 330i made it a superb sports sedan.

However, not be satisfied with that alone, BMW M-sport division developed some excellent modifications to the suspension, wheels, etc. leading ultimate to the car I chose to own. I could have chosen a BMW 323i, 325i or even a 335i all with these M-Sport options, but I believe the BMW 330i M-Sport is the real pick of the bunch, with just the right balance between power and reliability.

Although at the first glance of the rear I thought it was really ugly, I must admit after examining it closely I'd say it's just a matter of time 'till I get to love it. The true style of a car is revealed I think only when it can be seen in reality. (That's exactly how it happened to me when the new 5-er was introduced).I hope I won't be disapointed, because the earlier version was one of my favourite cars :).
About the perormance...I'd say the other cars in this category do not have a chance anymore!

So despite the strange looks, it's purely a BMW...

the E90 3-series... in my personal opinion, the frontal proportions are fitting for the saloon, but the behind looks out of place. In my opinion, the back would look nice on the upcoming 4-series though... What is BMW thinking? Suddenly a break from all the radical chris bangle design to this... this car was designed to be radical.. yet fails to do so.. its half/half, n thus out of a 0-10 scale, i would give it a 6. That score was based on the design and not the performance of the new 3-series, lets hope it doesnt let down
