The Caparos is anything but a rip off. It may look slightly similar, but it's a much lighter, faster, more focused supercar, than the Hulme. It's also a damn sight cheaper despite having a bespoke engine. It's just too bad that the Caparo also turned out to be near useless on the road; Koenigsegg aside, we'll have to wait a while longer for a truely useful light-weight supercar in the mold of the F1.

This car is a design rip off of a New Zealand developed car!

Conceived in 2003 and publicly launched in Wellington 23 March 2005 as the DENNY HULME 1967 F1 CHAMPION CAR it predates the CAPARO pretender by two years.

When I first saw the CAPARO I thought the NZ company developers had onsold the rights as they are so close in conceptual technical thinking and styling EXCEPT the NZ design is far more accomplished, ergonomic and roadworthy and the build quality superior to the CAPARO which to me looks rushed and quite shoddy.

kzx1, please don't tell me you're reason for the Veyron being better than the T1 is because of practicality! It's tires are $17,000! How is that practical at all?? Plus, this car was designed by Gordon freaking Murray lol! He designed the McLaren MP4/4, the most dominant grand prix car of all time! The Veyron is a one-trick-pony; it's silly fast. The T1 should have beat-all handling, excellent roadholding abilities and lateral grip, and ridiculous acceleration. I mean, how many road cars can you think of that have a zero-keel front suspension! None that I can think of !

The Caparo I think is going to revolutionise supercar making. Sure its different from the usual supercars that have tin tops and a full cabin, yet isn't that what supercars are truly about? Being different from the crowd, being loud and lairy and very fast? If so the Caparo is that and in my opinion it would be better in all performance aspects bar top speed than a Bugatti Veyron. The Veyron wuld beat it in comfort and driveability (that is yet to be confirmed of course) but this is the most pure care, an aim to be the fastest, raw driving experience and surely the Veyron cannot vouch for that. Also it has a 3.5 litre V8 that makes 700 odd horsepower sans forced induction, which is very impressive compared to the Veyron which requires quad turbocharging to make its 1000ps.

why can't anyone understand why is veyron better than this or anything else there is? don't you watch top gear or fifth gear ar anything like that?
veyron is a million times better then caparo because it is a CAR.
it has almost all expensive equipment you can get in S-class.
caparo doesn't have any of that. and that's okay, because caparo is just a racing machine. maybe the best there is, but it's not better than veyron cause it's not a same class of car. it's like you compare truck's transport capacity with a van...just can't do
caparo goes with f1 cars, aerial atom and maybe weineck cobra (that is a whole different story, but let+s not talk about that right now), and veyron goes with zondas lamborghinis and ferraris.
don't get me wrong, i love caparo T1. but i also love veyron, and i will defend it's pride.
I'm gonna ga ahead and disagree here...

I'm sorry, but questioning the supercar status of the T1 just doesnt make sense. It's faster in almost every way than the Veyron. And I don't get this argument about character, the Veyron is a pretty cynical exercise. And at least the Caparo doessnt look like a four wheeled turtle...

This car costs 6 times less than the Veyron. You can't expect them to create a car that has all of the luxuries and features of the Veyron for that price. Anyone who does has a detached knowledge of the profitable car industry. It is a performance car and it fulfils its key aim ... the fastest car without a stupidly expensive price tag.

If you acctually spun the engine to 10500 rpm, I highly doubt the engine would last long at all. Maybe that is what seperates the veyron and the t1, the veyron will out last you, while the t1 will need an engine rebuild after every track session.
 GO KART?!?

Umm...yes. Yes it's a true supercar. And at least it looks like a supercar, and not bloated concept car with vents cut into it to cool it off because they didn't think about that, because it was NEVER meant to be a real car in the first place! This is a supercar. The Veyron is a very bad idea, and the result of an incredibly cynical marketing exercise. This thing is gonna go like stink, and in every way that matters itll leave a Veyron for dead. Not that the Koenigsegg doesnt already do that
 Will this become reality ?

This seems like another of those projects that will never be completed. The Bugatti 16.4 Veyron clearly shows here is no market for these kind of cars anymore. It is flooded and the buyers stay away. besides that rather major flaw, what is he point of such a car ? You can hardly drive it on public roads and the tracks are open just a few times a year. Why not just build a racing car then ? I'm curious to see if anything more than a few will be made and sold. I dont think so.
 true supercar?

Yes the T1 can accelerate to 100 in 2.5sec etc but really its a go kart with a massive donk. Atleast the Veyron has character and a shape that dosnt resemble an F1 with a few body modifications. The T1 is a true weapon but its no Veyron.

THE VEYRON IS NOT THE FASTEST CAR IN THE WORLD!
It IS the fastest production car. Big difference. Also, who cares about all that speed, no track except maybe nurburgring will give you a straight long enough to take advantage of it. what really matters is acceleration and braking. Those are the key ingrediants to a excellent car, like the ferrari FXX.
For the T1, it is a fine car, but the best. no.

this is defintly the greatest car ever built besides the veyron
the world second fastest car is just as good. Though it could be better the the bugatti if the turning is any good. Im am so glad im going off to see this thing in London
 Now thats amazing!

This looks like the car that is closest to a Formula 1 car most obvious by it's design. It has a V8 engine like the F1 cars, ok it doesn't rev to 20,000RPM but the weights are similar (F1 car is heavier but more powerful). I mean 1000bhp per tonne is the absolute magnitude of performance and 0-62pmh in 2.5secs is Bugatti Veyron territiory, does it mean this is the fastest accelerating car in the world. It must have shorter gearing because it tops out at 322km/h but has that amazing power to weight ratio of 1bhp to 1 kg.
This one hell of a unique car!
