I love my S2k, In my opinion it the best street track fun grin on your face love affair with out cheeting car I'ev ever had. It amazes me what some say "not all that" or "it shoud have been more". I build car's, you want more? It's going to cost you more! This car is the gratest value, high reving softtop out there, fun, fun, fun!. Thank you Honda, for making the best reliable, exciting inexpensive sport car out there. Xfolium |
Too bad... |

It's disappointing to see this car go, especially without ever being given a proper Type-R variant. I suppose the American CR version was close enough. Always a great bargain and a unique drive, I always felt the later 2.2 liter model was a let down, having fewer revs and no more power. Even if it was perhaps a bit quicker in many instances, it gave up those two numbers that first made the car famous: 9000 rpm and 120bhp/liter. With the demise of the CR-X, Prelude, Integra, NSX, and now S2000, it's hard to argue Honda's lineup hasn't gotten a whole lot less diverse as far as sporty models go... hopefully, this will change soon. |
Sad. |

The s200 was never all that it should have been, but it was still a good car with a great engine. When this car goes, Honda will have no more sporting cars in its lineup (the Civic Type R is nice, but a sports car it is not). I only hope Honda figure out how to fit a sporting model back into their business plan as the have a sporting heritage as distinct and prestigious as any in Japan. |
