Very smart sample of 70's Italian design body design, very similar to classic FIAT 130 Coupe and subsequent Peugeot 505 proposals signed by Paolo Martin then working at Pininfarina.

Wow! I just love the assured lines and style of this magnificent car of distinction.

Beautiful and elegant elements of Italian, British and American influences woven with such intelligence, quality and cohesion to produce an ultimate Grand Tourer for four people and their luggage.

At first glance it reminded me strongly of the GORDON-KEEBLE GT's of 1964-66. Another car of rare promise that was also killed off due to financial troubles. I would not be surprised if the GORDON influenced the understated elegance of the MOMO.

The only quibble I have about the MIRAGE is its high front snout may produce lift at high speed - but it is only a quibble.

What a loss this car did not make it into production but thankfully one of the principals had the foresight to not only restore the second prototype but present it for all to admire and savour.

Thank you for producing a fine and enjoyable article about this almost forgotten and unknown special car.

Gene Garfinkle, who was a good friend, was the primary designer of this car. He passed away about 7 years ago, in Los Angeles, California
