Old body? |
Napoleon Solo 04-01-2011 |
The DB9 body is just as 'old' as this shape. Nobody seems to mention that, only regurgitating what someone writes in Top Gear. In 2013 a new XK will hit the streets anyway. If you have ever gotten any seat time in even a normally aspirated XK it's exhilerating. Better than my brother in law's new M3. |
Taurus not |
AERO_HDT 03-07-2011 |
I certainly see no resemblance to a Taurus, the mind falters at how such a comparison can be made. Whilst weight has been an issue for XK's in the past, the XKR is a long way from the previous generation 400bhp porker. Even still, I'd estimate the weight to be around 1650-1700kg, which certainly isn't Porsche or Corvette territory, but still nothing like M6 or SL proportions. The new XK weighs less than the old one and now churns out 35% more grunt. Not a bad thing eh? |

Agile and responsive? Funny how the press release doesn't mention weight, and how that remains unpublished. |
And it still looks like a Taurus coupe... |
BillK 02-23-2011 |
This body has been out for a long while now. From the beginning, I've thought it looks like a coupe version of a now-old US Taurus. Aston-Martin will be getting my money... If I had money... |
