The last of N/A Ferrari V8s? |
capone 09-27-2014 |
Will this be the very last car Ferrari make with N/A V8. I hope I'm right in saying no. The evidence states that the "next" mid engine Ferrari will get a twin turbo V8. Whether this takes form of a 458 facelift or an entirely new design we will wait and see. What I'm hoping for is that if the 458 gets ONLY a facelift it should prolong the model for say 2 years. Meanwhile, with battery technology on the improve, Ferrari might make the 458 replacement a N/A V8 with some type of KERS system like the LaFerrari. The problem facing Ferrari with that is weight. Ferrari has said that they won't make their normal production cars out of carbon fibre and therefore weight might be the issue. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I still think the normal 458s are better looking than the Speciale variants. Still a great car. |
