Its Funny |

I think its funny how picky Euorpeans are. I mean here in the States we have very little when it comes to car choice and what cars we do get are ok. I have a 99 Ford Countor Sport SE and I love that car. But when I reasearch other Ford cars I seem to see that Europe get all the good cars. For instance the Focus RS8 with a V8 and more HP that a Mustang GT. Our Focuses come with only 185bhp and 170ft-lb of torque. If I could even afford to import a Euro Ford I would be happy. I dont like Japanese cars and the only new American car I would get is a Ford GT. If I had the cash I would import any Euro Ford including this Focus RS since it would take down may performance cars here and still get better gas and handeling. |
I just don't like it |

It might have a Garett turbo, Brembo brakes, Quaife LSD, Recaro seats and OZ Racing wheels but if you peel it all off it's still a Focus. To me the shape is that of the mechanical interpretation of a snail although it has been proven it takes a lot of beating on a track. The bodykit may enhance the appearance but when you get inside you still get the ford treatment on the dash and steering wheel. Ford have added Sparco goodies inside (I like the handbrake lever) but underneath the bolt-ons the car's flawed. On normal british (potholed and uneven) roads it squirms around under acceleration and torque-steer prevails. I think I'd rather have an Impreza (Mk3) WRX for my 20,000 GBP and have a car that looks great and goes well on all surfaces. |
Lovely car... |

2 secs slower than Honda Civic Type-R to get to 62mph, but around a track (same track same driver) it is 4 sec quicker... amazing stuff... |
