I'm not a fan of American cars, but I'll have to disagree without throwing feces at you.  BTW, I'll save you the verbal onslaught by future posts through mine.
The Corvette in and of itself is a great car, especially for it's costs. Sure, it may have 'primative' technology with it's leaf-springs and what not, but for 70k you get 500 hp, incredible track times, great interior, style, and passion.
Where I agree with you is the general opinion of the Corvette, where people (mainly from America) will kill Corvette-haters because they have wet-dreams about the car. I can see how the car is 'overrated' because of the 'fanboys', but that shouldn't take away from the success of the car. (Same applies to the Skyline, but not to the same extent) |
