I dont think its really a matter of budget or drivetrain IB4R, VESA is so desperate to expand the category, all Toyota would have to say is "we have money and want to play" and you'd see some quick rule changes. I dont think theyve got any interest in local motorsport other than rally, perhaps cause the FIA wont let them play in their game. Toyota as a whole just has no soul to its operations. Thats why theyre doing so crap in F1, and fired the 1 person that got them anywhere last year.
