your defently not nuts. The rolla hatch looks very similar to the previous one and the sedan looks dated not fresh or modern (doesn't seem to stop people buying them).
The lancer looks a fresher version of the older one and draws on design que's from the 90's models. IMO cars should have some linerage from one model to the next to give them identy, otherwise what would be the difference between one model line and another if designers just went with was in at the time.
