Gentlemen allow me to run the train on this thread.
First of all its more than just 427 badges:
Quote:
• Exclusive, new chrome wheels
• Body-color rear spoiler and door handles
• Exclusive dark titanium custom leather-wrapped interior
• Special Crystal Red interior trim plate graphic pattern
• Console armrest signed and numbered by Wil Cooksey
• “427”-embroidered seats and floor mats
• “Z06” sill plates

Now for the "ripoff". Go to chevrolet.com and build yourself a Z06 in a premium color with the loaded 3LZ package. You should get something with a net price of:

Yep $82,665.00.
So the price of this car is $84,195.00
$84,195.00
-$82,665.00
=$1,530.00.
So for an extra $1,530.00 you get a limited run car, with a limited run interior, wheels that no other Z06 are ever going to have, and a pretty sick paint job.
GM has been putting out special edition Corvettes for almost as long as Corvette has been a name. They sell like hotcakes, ripoff or not.
