I have a macbook with both Windows XP Pro and OS X 10.4 (Tiger). I really only use Windows when I have to open the new microsoft office files (.docx) or when I want/have to work with SolidWorks, mostly because XP is significantly slower and makes my battery last 3 hours instead of 5. The dual operating system setup works great except it takes a couple minutes to switch from one operating system to another.

The cons of macs include: expensive accessories, having pc owners automatically assume you don't know how to use a computer, form sometimes wins over function (as in my macbook, the cooling vent is right where the display hinge is so the computer can get really hot if I'm not careful), white computers get dirty easily, glossy computers show scratches easily, and some software requires Windows or another operating system to be installed (SolidWorks, ProE, and Adobe Acrobat 3D are the ones I've run into)
