I'm sure you're correct because dimensionally the V10 is basically a ten cylinder variant of Chrysler's 360 cid V8, which is part of their "LA' series family of small-block engines, and both the 360 and LA originated in passenger cars
Btw Chrysler's alloy V10 first seen in the Viper debuted before the iron V10 version later seen in Dodge trucks - so you could just as well claim that the iron V10 motor is actually Chrysler's non-alloy version of their 'sports car' engine rather than being a 'truck' engine
