Seriously though thermal efficiency of petrol engines are as low as 25%  . And by saying "...A combustion engine has 30% efficiency (not even counting the rest of the production and distibution process). " Im sure you know that he meant that the car efficiency relates to a product that requires further inneficiencies (big or small) to produce.
