I, personally am still divided on the global warming issue, however I don't dispute there's obviously noticeable climate change. On one hand, the world has seen massive warming and cooling trends over its millions of years in existence; but then again we're seeing lots of changes occur quicker than normal. So who knows. I personally ditched my car when I moved downtown, and now I walk/bike/TTC transit it everywhere. I figure for now cars and the suburban lifestyle are wasteful and unnecessary, and true or not, trying to be more environmentally conscious is the way to go.

I salute you for your diligence to the enviroment. But you my friend, live a fairly suburban and hippy lifestyle . I currently live in alabama, a place that if one is lucky if they pick up the trash consecutively for a month, there is almost a non-existant recycling program and ditching the car is an unviable and stupid option since school, work and home are relatively far away, before that i lived in kenya where one dug a big hole at the back of the plot for all your trash and another deep hole for his or her latrine, one did not have cars, one has matatus(Passenger trucks converted to public transport) and buses with no mufflers and no catalytic converters, and ones biggest enviromental worry was if the river water was clean or you would have to move 10km upstream to get your daily water supply.
My point is that even if the enviroment is at peril, in the real world it is ill advised and pointless to try and do anything about it because you cant, you simply cant. I try and picture somebody passing flyers about the global warming in my home village in kenya and i just start laughing.
P.S: when i say real world, i mean somewhere other than the upper class towns of these superpowers countries i.e. rural areas and most parts of any second and third world countries
