Unfortunately, "HAD" is the operative word, sold a few yrs ago it was a pretty consistent 11.4-11.7 second car with a best E.T. of 11.2 @ 122mph, before that I had a '70 Roadrunner that did a best E.T. of 10.85 @ 131mph without nitrous and 10.22 @ 144mph with nitrous.
I'm now reduced to a Ford Windstar minivan and a Hyundai Accent (auto )
After watching the video a few more times I think I might have sold the 'vette a bit short, it might actually be faster than I first gave it credit for ... but still due to amazing acceleration once he got rolling.
He should be quite embarrassed at being taken from a deadstop by that Talon. If it had been me in the 'vette, I would have ducked down the first street on the left and hid until I had done some mods to ensure that didn't happen again.
Then again, some people are happy when their car can do a rolling burnout ... looks impressive, but doesn't win races.
