And the gearing makes up for it in hondas. The new civic Si has a 4.765 final drive. 0_o
Torque steer isn't due to engine power, true, but more power definitely magnifies it, more for FWD than RWD.

Anyway, it's the power to weight ratio as well that you have to consider. The Civic Type R isn't exactly what you'll call slow, and the S2000 still gets you from 0-60 in 6.2s
