We tried to rally an X1/9 in the 80s and despite spending a fortune and LOTS of time trying setups coudl NOT get the tail end controllable
Fine on smooth tracks, but bumpy roads or gravel and a fast corner and it was "hello mr hedge"
standard rear suspension, adjustable front (camber). to be honest the x19 abarth was built & designed for circuit racing (anywhere which is paved) not for rallying and offroad use(that why its uncontrollable in the dirt). we use ours for road rally's, autocross and street circuits and it obliterates other cars with more horsies than us because we can take the tightest lines and get away with it. but ours is a 1300 which is a tad suckful at the top end so were putting a 1500 in so hopefully we should be ably to pick up the times a little
