Remember when Jeremy Clarkson got the 10K quote for his Escort Cosworth? It's going to be something like that.
I have a 1992 3000GT VR4 (Twin Turbo) registered under my name and with basic insurance and insurance is only costing me $202 a month. If the car is old then insurance wont be a lot because the blue book value of the car is low. If he gets full coverage and insures upgrades and what not, then yeah it'll be huge. The only downside to what my insurance company does now is that if i get in a crash and it's my fault then they don't pay or fix my car, i have to either do it myself or just write it off.

My insurance company is very relaxed with new drivers though so their policies are very good for young drivers. I tried insuring the same car with an insurance company called "The Personal" and they refused to insure me despite having a clean record. His insurance quote will depend on his insurance company as well. If he shops around he can get something better.

If anyone in Ontario is looking for a good and cheap insurance company for young drivers call Bell Air Insurance. Just 411 the number... too lazy to dig it up now.

Zytek_Fan, its your choice what you wanna get, my suggestion is go Japanese + Turbo if you want a driver's car but I can tell you have an affinity for European Luxury cars. I personally think you're gonna regret it but you can't argue with what ones heart wants.
