LMP1- purpose built prototype cars. 900 kg min, max engine displacement 4L turbo petrol, 6L NA petrol (will be 7L next year), 5.5 turbo diesel.
LMP2- Similar to LMP1 except 825 kg min, 2L turbo petrol, 3.4L NA petrol, not sure about diesel. Often contest LMP1s on tighter tracks.
GT1- based on larger displacement production models. Corvette Z06, Aston Martin DB9, Saleen S7.
GT2- similar to GT1 except with smaller displacement: 911 GT3, F430, Spyker C8
