Its relavent in the sense that it gives manufacturer a bigger scope for development. You want to have the largest displacement available, especially in an endurance format to have a least stressed engine that can make the most power. Restrictor in the end are used to limit the ultimate power, but how to get to that amount of power is just as important. Or else Judd wouldn't keep pushing up on their displacement on the GV series. I am sure the power level between GV4 and GV5.5 is similar, but 5.5 is a lot more competitive...and reliable...
