This Thread is for all 5th generation Mustangs which are tweaked/ customized/ tuned by Roush
----------------
Ponies Can Really Fly
The ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang packs 415 horsepower with 385 lb-ft of torque under the hood, thanks to the addition of the ROUSHchargerTM system. This is the quickest, best-handling, and most stylish Mustang in the history of ROUSH Performance, a company with a long and rich heritage of Ford Mustang upgrades.
Or, as Jack Roush succinctly said, “This is the best Mustang we have ever built.”
The Stage 3, 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system includes the intercooled ROUSHchargerTM system with custom ROUSH-calibrated ECM and several other performance modifications. This upgrade is a vast improvement over the factory stock engine which is rated at 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.
But this car is more than just being quick on the throttle as the more than 1G rating on the skidpad attests. The suspension upgrades include specially-engineered and tuned front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars and jounce bumpers. The front brakes are also upgraded with 14-inch front two-piece rotors and four-piston calipers. Each component was specifically engineered so that ride comfort was not compromised at the expense of the tremendous gains in performance.
Exterior styling is enhanced through the addition of a seven-piece body kit constructed from OEM-type materials which sees a front fascia, front chin spoiler, hood scoop, rocker panels, rear fascia valance and rear wing installed by ROUSH factory technicians.
Other amenities include lower valence fog lamps, custom 18-inch forged rims with high-performance tires, sport leather seat covers, embroidered floor mats, billet aluminum pedals including a new dead pedal, and the Stage 3 electro-luminescent white face gauge cluster. The car also has ROUSH badging throughout and a serialized engine bay plaque indicating the car was hand-built in the Livonia, Mich., facility.
“This new ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang will literally turn heads twice,” claimed Joe Thompson, general manager of ROUSH Performance Products. “The first time is when they see how much better this car looks, and the second comes as you put your foot in it, kick in the ROUSHchargerTM, and blow by just about anything on the road.”
Optional components to further customize the car include racing stripes, interior dash trim kits, locking lug nuts, trunk tool kit, short throw shifter, billet aluminum shift knob, and more.
The ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang is available in both coupe and convertible versions, and more information can be found at Ford dealers nationwide or online at www.RoushPerformance.com. The Stage 1 and Stage 2 versions of the ROUSH Mustang are also available for those not wanting the full performance package that comes on the Stage 3 version. As with all ROUSH cars, the industry-leading 3 year/36,000 mile warranty remains intact and covers all components.

All the modded Mustangs look like the front end of a locomotive. Which is a compliment by the way.

what's a 418hp Mustang doing with such a large antenna? Shouldn't it be a micro antenna?

ROUSH Performance continues to pay tribute to Ford’s legendary history with the 428R™ Mustang, a limited edition pony car which follows in the tremendous success of their 427R™ model introduced last year and which remains in the ROUSH product lineup for the 2008 model year.
The ROUSH 428R™ Mustang will arrive at participating Ford dealerships in October 2007.
The 2008 ROUSH 428RTM Mustang is limited to 200 vehicles, each a potent street slayer with 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque thanks to the famous ROUSHcharger™ system, which, in the 428R™ is a chrome powdercoat which glistens when the hood is raised. Other under-the-hood goodies include ROUSH billet radiator and intercooler radiator caps, oil cap, and strut tower caps which add to the sparkling engine compartment.
The looks of the car continue on the exterior also, with the ROUSH front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop and rear wing adding to the muscular look. The locking hood pins show the world that there is something lurking under the hood, and the black bar high-flow grille adds to the aesthetics.
As for handling, the ROUSH suspension package makes it simple to manage the left and right turns. Changed by the ROUSH technicians are the front and rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars, jounce bumpers and an anti-wheel hop kit is installed at the Livonia, Mich., factory. ROUSH 18-inch cast wheels and high-performance tires grip the road, and the offroad exhaust system gives the ROUSH 428R™ the necessary growl expected from a V-8 Mustang.
The interior of the 428R™ gets the ROUSH treatment as well as ROUSH sport leather seating is installed, the white face electro luminescent gauge cluster, and the ROUSH short throw shifter with retro ball makes quick gear changes. Rounding out some of the interior upgrades are ROUSH sill plates and floor mats.
As with all ROUSH vehicles, the 428R™ comes with unique fender and decklid badges as well as a pair of engine bay plaques to authenticate this as an official ROUSH vehicle. Each vehicle comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Jack Roush. The ROUSH 428RTM is available with either a five-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The ROUSH Performance P-51A™ Mustang is easily the highest horsepower Mustang that the company has ever produced, and represents the first time that internal engine components have been upgraded by ROUSH technicians in their Livonia, Mich., facility. It was determined that the only way to give the P-51A™ moniker its due was to completely break into the 4.6L, 3V and rebuild several of the functional internal components, which include a forged steel eight-bolt crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons with increased dish to lower the compression from 9:8 to 8:6, and forged steel H-Beam connecting rods. These upgraded parts were necessary for the stock Ford engine (which comes with 300 horsepower from the factory) to be able to withstand the additional power generated from the newest iteration of the legendary ROUSHcharger™ supercharger system.
Additional alterations include a custom aluminum upper and lower intake manifold for the high capacity air-to-water intercooler and ROUSHcharger™. ROUSH installs a custom fuel rail and high-flow fuel injectors, a high-flow capacity fuel system, as well as a dual electronic throttle body.
The new ROUSH P-51A™ engine has a preliminary rating of at least 510 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. torque. It is anticipated that final figures may even be slightly higher than this when final testing and calibration is approved by the ROUSH engineering staff.
The changes to the ROUSH P-51A™ don't end under the hood. A ROUSH aerobody kit will be installed, which includes a front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop and rear spoiler. The ROUSH black high-flow grill is added along with cooling side shields to give the car the aggressive look it needs while stalking the streets.
Internally the car will come with ROUSH sport leather seating and custom floor mats, both with an embroidered P-51A™ emblem. The white face gauges and billet aluminum pedals will get a lot of use as the driver bangs through the gears with the ROUSH short throw shift lever and retro black ball.
For those who look behind the 18-inch ROUSH forged five-spoke wheels will see the vaunted Stage 3 suspension underneath this vehicle. Designed to handle even the tightest twists and turns, this suspension includes specially-engineered and tuned front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars and jounce bumpers. The front brakes are also upgraded with 14-inch front two-piece rotors and four-piston calipers. Each component was specifically engineered so that ride comfort was not compromised at the expense of the tremendous gains in performance.

Jack Roush knows a thing or two about racing and Mustangs. His road racing career includes more than 110 wins and 20 national championships, and this vast expertise is evident throughout the ROUSH 427R Trak Pak.
Designed for the daily driver who enjoys pushing his car to the limits on open track days, the ROUSH 427R Trak Pak Mustang has plenty of specialized content to accommodate the unique needs of those who like driving up to the edge on the racetrack in a safe, controlled environment.
With the addition of the intercooled ROUSHcharger™ the 427R Trak Pak Mustang has 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, plenty of power to quickly get up to speed on the straightaways. The cooling system has been enhanced with a black bar high flow front grille and radiator cooling shields. There is a functional strut tower brace under the hood to help strengthen the chassis and decrease unwanted twisting.
The suspension system has been completely revamped to easily manage the twists and turns of a road course. The ROUSH 427R Trak Pak suspension includes adjustable front and rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear stabilization bars, front and rear jounce bumpers and adjustable camber/caster plates.
To whoa this pony down ROUSH adds 6-piston front calipers with 14-inch, two-piece slotted front rotors and slotted rear rotors. The brake pads are replaced with high-performance racing quality versions, and the new ROUSH brake cooling system and high temperature brake fluid will ensure that the brakes will be ready when you need them the most.
The ROUSH three-piece aerobody kit gives the car a menacing look as it roars past the other cars on the track, and consists of a front fascia, front chin spoiler and hood scoop. The car rides on 18-inch forged wheels painted a dark charcoal and mounted to ultra-performance tires for maximum grip on the racetrack. The functional hood pins, unique graphics and badging add to the overall styling of the car.
Inside the cockpit the driver will immediately notice the addition of the new three-gauge dash pod with engine oil temperature, coolent temperature and a boost gauge. A shift light has also been integrated into this dash pod as well. The ROUSH sport leather seating, short throw shifter with retro-style ball, and four-piece performance pedal kit help to round out the interior styling.

The 2009 ROUSH® Stage 3 BlackJack® continues the design cues started by Jack Roush himself – the menacing black tone-on-tone theme, the single wide stripe down the hood, and the thunderous rumble of 430 horsepower from an American V-8 engine capped with a legendary ROUSHcharger®. Among the new items this year are the unique 18-inch forged black chrome wheels, sure to make people stop, look and give a thumbs up.
As with prior models, the 2009 ROUSH® Stage 3 BlackJack® will be limited to just 100 units, and are available in both coupe and convertible as well as five-speed manual or automatic transmissions. All cars will be personally autographed by Jack Roush before leaving the Livonia, Mich., production facility.

The ROUSH Sport exhilarates your senses.
The ROUSH Sport Mustang package sends an immediate signal that this is no ordinary Mustang. ROUSH’s dramatic Aero Body Kit and signature graphics grab your attention, providing an exciting enhancement to the ageless appeal of this Ford classic.
Available options, including interior, suspension, brake, and wheel upgrades, provide serious comfort and handling enhancements to complement the ROUSH Sport’s exhilarating appearance. With over 250 victories in motorsports events, there's no disputing that Jack Roush knows speed. The ROUSH Sport Mustang demonstrates that ROUSH and his ROUSH Industries team of engineers also know styling, precision and superior handling.

tbh, why haven't they just taken their ideas and used them as a sort of 'optional' package on a regular ROUSH mustang?!

The 2009 ROUSH® Touring Coupe (RTC™) is easily one of the most visually striking Mustangs to come from the Jack Roush stable. The base Ford color - Torch Red, Dark Candy Apple Red, Brilliant Silver, Vapor, Vista Blue, and Grabber Orange – is custom painted with a rich black across the hood, roofline and rear deck, then accented by a pinstripe between the colors.
The RTC™ will be limited to 200 units only, each with an individual serial badge showing the unique number in the production run. All cars will be coupes, though a choice of a five-speed manual or automatic transmission is available. In addition to the ROUSH® four-piece aerobody kit, other aesthetic additions include the high-flow, nine-bar grille and 20-inch ROUSH® wheels with high-performance Cooper tires. The complete list of included items in the RTC™ package is shown below, as are the available options.
Cruising the streets or parked at the car show, the ROUSH® RTC™ Mustang get plenty of attention.
