I did a bit of research of what was available, and apparently the Intrepid was a good car, quite capable of being a front runner, but was usually bested by the better efforts of the works Nissans, Jaguars, and the Spice Acuras.

I'm sure IMSA longs to have the GTP and GTO era back

Yeah I checked that out too. I didn't see a single race win between 1991 and 1993.

What the hell are Spice Acuras?

How do you tell the difference between a TLC restored FJ and a stock FJ?

This icon isn't a fully restored Toyota FJ, excluding the original factory frame; it is a brand-new Land Cruiser. The majority of components are built from scratch; everything else is new. The only remaining original component, the frame, has been restored to like-new condition. If you're asking yourself, "can I buy one?" they are in fact available. This particular FJ is a prototype and would probably come with a hefty price tag. The hand-crafted Toyota is the first vehicle produced from scratch by TLC. The owner of TLC, Jonathan Ward, tells us thus far he has out approximately $185,000 into the design and build. We can only guess at the true value of this Land Cruiser, since Jonathan is quite renowned for his vehicle restoration and build abilities.

does anybody know if it Austin built its own version of the Mini Marcos?
i found some pics of a Mini Marcos but named "1972 Austin Mini JEM MKII".
my doubt is if this car is actually an official Austin. i know the Marcos and the Jem both descend from the D.A.R.T.

Marcos was actually set up by Jem Marsh, which might explain some of the names used. The model as such was never an Austin or a Morris production version.

Coste C2 (http://www.allsportauto.com/english/coste_c2.php)

btw i have another one, more of a doubt than a request: it is supposed to be a 1999 Coste C2, but that car has a 4 cylinder, while this have a V8 (written on the head of the engine at least) and beside the name, it has written on the back "kimberley". it's identical to the Coste btw, but this two facts put some doubts on my mind. didn't find something useful on google or wiki btw.;)

and then...the 1929 Golden Arrow, is an Irving Napier, as the most results on google say, or an Irving with a Napier engine, or just a car designed by Segrave himself and simply built by Irving? so, again, in which folder should i post those images?;)

the white sports car was discussed earlier, I think Dydzi came up with the same picture, it is a French Swiss?) special, of which I forgot the name again. The blue car could be anything, but I am tempted to say that it could be an MG model (not the T series, but larger) or eventually an Alfa Romeo 6C or so. The picture does not show easy features from which to recognise the car, but you can always ask Matteo from Swiss Carsightings what it is.....

1. If you are wondering what the race it, then its the ADAC Zurich 24h-Rennen (http://www.24h-rennen.de/)
2. It seems to be either this Z4 M Coupe racer pic 2 (http://adac.24h-rennen.de/typo3temp/ce_gallery/d_13469_800_600_90.JPG) or this Porsche 997 GT3 Cup (http://adac.24h-rennen.de/typo3temp/ce_gallery/d_13399_800_600_90.JPG) Pic 2 (http://adac.24h-rennen.de/typo3temp/ce_gallery/d_13177_800_600_90.JPG)

and looking at their gallery I have two more things to say:
1. Freakn amazing turnup of cars for the race; Scirocco's, Gumpert Apollo, Porsches, Gallardos, Vipers, DB9 and what not.
2. I wish we had any sort of cover of it here :(

Can anyone tell me what it exactly is? :D

It's some kind of Imperial Something Le Baron Whatever.

It's a 1959 Imperial.

If it is a LeBaron or whatever I can't tell, in 1959 there were three trim options: Imperial Custom (base), Imperial Crown, and Imperial LeBaron.

I looked around at google and couldn't tell the difference form the outside between any of the three of them.

Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure it's not a LeBaron. The '59 LeBaron had two chrome rings on the tail fins, like on the one in the attached picture. LeBarons also had gold colored trim on the wheel covers.

I think the wing is just similar to that of the 993 GT2.
they are definitely 964s, impossible to say which versions, I guess (hope) the standard model since they have been modified so badly.

Barracuda debuted as the sporty coupe variant of 2nd-gen Valiant and was a precursor (by 2 weeks!) to the original Ford Mustang. It was the only Valiant-based model to get that unique (and US-only) fastback body-style, which is distinguished by its huge wrap-over back window

Image:1965 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1965_Plymouth_Barracuda_Formula_S.jpg)

Sorry about confusing you by linking to the frontally similar Wayfarer ute, which is a body-type that never appeared in US-built Valiants. So I knew you'd never seen one - and why I shared it :)

both the SL are standard, but the grey one has the AMG aero kit. it's not an AMG because the rearlight aren't darker than usual and it doesn't have the "v8 kompressor" badge near the side vent or the "SL55" badge (the rims are form the 55). and I can't think of an AMG owner who removes those badges keeping the "AMG" one.

Not really a picture to show, but I've seen two CLK 55 AMGs with no V-8 Kompressor badges. It's not a real CLK 55 AMG then right?

For one instance, I did hear a mean engine growl, but no badges were seen. Plus, there were no quad tailpipes for both instances.

Edit-
Just checked the hideout thread. Boy, you'd think they'd keep things consistent!

But no, they change things over many times. And, quad tailpipe or not, there is no side Kompressor badge!

The Maserati is a 4200 GT for sure. The red Pontiac is one of these ugly ´90s Firebirds and the Bentley must be a Turbo R.

The "Jaguar" on your 3rd picture is a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur or Silver Spirit, not sure with these two, but both from the ´80s.

Has all the hallmarks of a kit or one-off build.
Too many "unfinished" looking bits for that to be from any of the big manufacturers/design houses !!

Wow! I actually like it. At least we can suppose almost for sure that it's Australian - the site name and the steering wheel on the right tell this.

Why are the pictures named 'RAC Rally'?

This are original file names from ozcarsightings.com (I wrote to owner of the site with question about this car, but there was no replay):

A celebration of the RAC, with about 500 cars turning up. There were alot of old timers that don't interest me, so not many pics.

They look like XJ220 rims but the rear looks far far to thin to be original ones. It must be some kind of one off i guess.

Well, it looks far too flimsy for American Ford. Could be European Ford then...

The closest thing I've managed to think of is Ford Model Y. However, the details don't match exactly.

it woudl be a 33 or a 34... based on the grill. i woudl say 33, since the 34 has a lot more curve on it. and it woudl be a 5 window.

Also think it may well be an English Ford Model Y circa 1932, perhaps early proto as depicted in top-of-page photo of 'Model 19' from here (http://www.fordyandcmodelregister.co.uk/)

I found it too (Zandonella Motors - Coupe (http://www.go-gears.com/view_ad.php?ad_id=6850)), but it doesn't look like this roadster almost at all...
