Polyphony, the creators of Gran Turismo under Kazunori Yamauchi, have done the impossible.
After almost a decade, the great Italian manufacturer everyone wanted has entered the scene with their newest creation and the F430. It has spread wonder and suspicion of whether or not another Italian Manufacturer will enter, or even if the famous Swedish, and British supercars.
Expect Gran Turismo HD Classic to come out Dec. 2006. It will include no cars and tracks, but will support a full online mode. You'll have to pay for any and all cars and tracks you want.
Gran Turismo HD Premium will then be released around 2007 2nd QTR. This will feature 30 vehicles and 2 tracks. It's the GT5 Prologue basically. GT HD Premium also support an interior view.
With GT HD Premium being our GT5-first look, it'll hopefully be worth the years' wait for Gran Turismo 5.

ITs just a way to get parents to pay out their asses for their kids to play video games.

That's for GT HD Classic. This version is the last version to contain the GT4 engine. Of course, it's just a ploy to squeeze what little cash is left in the engine.
GT HD Premium is what GT5 will be about. It comes with vehicles.

I know, I just don't like the morals.

Paying for cars and tracks is stupid, even if it is just a "prologue" to GT5.
I won't believe there are Ferraris in GT5 until I buy a PS3 and GT5, and play it for myself. PD has strung me along way too long for me to get my hopes up again.

Werd to your mother. GT and PS3 make A LOT of claims, most of which are exaggerations. When I play it for myself, I'll believe it.
i gave up all hope of GT's being any good when i found out that actually all of the cars handling is completely mythical - I know the owner of the Stratos in GT4 (his was the only one Polyphony went to look at), aparently it handles nothing like it, they just took a few pics and never drove it :(

Great if they include Ferrari's and Porsches, but I won't bother if they make me pay for them all. However, I have heard that it is simply a rumour, some anti-sony fanboy made a dodgy translation and started to spread it around. If sony really does this, and if they continue to do this for other games, than the PS3 will simply fail.

Paying for cars and tracks will work if the basic game is handed out for free in cereal boxes. If it's full price and then on top of that one has to pay for stuff, there'll be massive hate-mongering there.

Ferraris are in the game. Why model a 599 GTB, and show off a F430 is they won't include them?

Again, READ.
GT5 is based on GTHD Premium. You don't have to buy cars with your own money for it. That's GT HD Classic, which is the last attempt to get money out of GT4.

Yeah, but GTHD "Premium" will still only come with 30-some odd cars and a couple tracks. Or, are these simply just "prologues" or something? I thought GTHD would be an upgraded GT4.
I'm confused now. I'm going to guess: GT HD Classic and GT HD Premium aren't actually two different versions of the same game, but rather completely different games with completely different engines..? I don't know, I can't read japanese, and it won't translate that link.
Edit: lol, I read the first post, yep. Wow, I feel slow.
I get it, I thought that Premium was just "Classic", but it actually includes a few cars, but you still have to buy the rest. I'll stop talking now.

OH THANK YOU GOD THANK YOU SWEET MERCIFUL GOD!!!!!! Finally I can race a Ferrari against a Porsche against a Sky... oh wait i could do that in Forza...:( Whatever, as long as GT5 has Italian cars I'm happy because then i could race a Zonda against an Enzo.

Even if they do have Ferraris in the game, they won't BE Ferraris. They'll handle like crap, because Gran Turismo only tests the asian cars.

No. GT HD Premium (GT5 Prologue) comes with 30 cars and 2 tracks pre-set. This what GT5 will be based on.

I Hope they have detailed drivers this time.
also they should throw away the formula GT Cars and introduce F1.
Also it should have licsence for the renault r24,25 and r26, Ferrari F2004,05 and 248 and well the list goes on and on and on.

Jeez, if you need to pay for the cars obviously it won't be popular. Everyone would just wait for GT5 the final version. Why spend money making a billion versions of the same basic game. Just get it right one time around and you'll profit from that, like GT3 was.

That's what it has technically already become. A tech-demo.

Just played the demo yesterday, It felt pretty terrible, but then I never played any of the previous ones. All the acceleration and braking were done via right thumb tab, no pressure sensitive acceration tab ftl.
Ill give it a few more hours and do a ful review later this week
