Global warmings actually a bit of a misnomer - the earth is heated up by many human factors, causing the ice caps to melt. this in turns cools the oceans and messes with the ocean currents which regulate temperature.
So essentially, it'll get hot, then it'll get cold.

Bah, yeah speaking of snow it was snowing today up here in ol' Stouffville. And also I will tolerate no snide Canadian remarks.
It's the rule of the ignorant that keeps from progressing. People who think global warming is going to cook the earth have done little to no research on the subject.

There is no such thing as "global warming".
Climate change, on the other hand...

Global warming is a type of climate change, just as global cooling is.

You can't have global warming/cooling unless the whole globe warms up/cools down - which isn't what is happening/ predicted to happen.

I don't necessarily have facts in front of me, but.. haven't the average global temperatures increased at an abnormal rate the past +/- 20 years or so? At least I remember hearing such a fact..

Coincrony.
Out of interest, it has been found that the sun is burning hotter that it has done for thousands of years, something that can happen suddenly (in geological terms anyway) would anyone happen to know when this extra hotness started, would it be in the past 20 years?
