i've never had a chance to drive one but I always thought it was quite nice looking.

Don't forget a video camera - and make sure it has enough tape to cover the initial ride, the ambulance ride, and most of the trial :p ;) :D.

you see, seeing a porsche or a lambo or even a Honda S2000 squished like that would have made me sad, but this just brought a smile to my face :)

having driven the entire TT range unlike some of the tits around this forum, i can say that they aren't that bad to drive... although visibility is truly shocking, understeer, was only introduced under stupid driving aka being a lead-foot smart-ass with significantly more money than driving talent...
as for it being ugly, well that is a matter of a opinion, but seeing as it still had a waiting list(after 6 years) as the new version was being introduced it can't have been that ugly... did have a bit of the coming /going appearance to it, but the actual detailing of it, in person, was gorgeous...

Even the worst handling car in the world can be driven safely. It doesn't make it acceptable. For something that pretends to be a sporstcar, the Audi TT handling was a joke (1st generation, because I never tried this new one).
as for it being ugly, well that is a matter of a opinion, but seeing as it still had a waiting list(after 6 years) as the new version was being introduced it can't have been that ugly...
It's still a matter of opinion.
