Everyone knows that the PS3 has blue ray...and its very cool. And everyone else knows that the 360 has an optional HDDVD player, which is also very cool.

But now, it seems they both shouldve waited. Because now its possible to have two in one. Just think about how great it couldve been if they had this new drive which plays both HDDVD's and Blue Ray disk. Maybe the next next gen will have everything:p ;)

What, am I the only one who saw this coming? Neither format would be able to survive on its own. They're both great formats, but even the 360 and PS3 aren't using the disks for games yet.

Nice, making PC the only gaming system that plays both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. :D

So what? I can still play GOW through a VGA cable on the monitor so it doesn't really bother me.

Why would you do that? Unless you have like a 24" monitor and your biggest TV is a 19" curved tube...

That's what I'm saying, though. That makes sense to me. But why would I want to play PS3 on my 19" square LCD when I could play it on our 52" 16x9 rear projection in 1080i?

I have no idea why anyone would want to use a smaller screen.
