i sorta gave up on painting my wall because of the color, and texture of my wall. So ive moved on to my door because lucky for me, its an unpainted door with no outer coating what so ever. Great painting surface. The only problem, is that i cant find a suitable picture.
so if you guys have a picture that would fit a door (doesnt have to be exact) then please post it.
post more than one if you want.

actually, i really like that picture, i could dumb it down a bit on the light reflections. Could be doable

Yeah perhaps if the reflection was more of an hazy outline...

Paint a picture of your favorite stripper on it.
Or your favorite booze.
Or both.

paint the outside of the door to look like your room with you in it so it looks like the door is always open!

thats actually pretty funny
but i did check out that picture canuck, its a little too wide, or not tall enough, it leaves too much room on the top and bottom believe it or not

How about some badges ? Say about 30 cm's big on a neat background ? It is definately doable and can be quite esay as you have clear lines and stuff.

im not gonna distort the picture... its not tall enough... it leaves too much on the top and bottom. creating a synthetic background doesn't work with that picture. it doesnt leave enough "car" in the picture.

nope, the car would be too wide. i can have more than one car in the picture so its more car that BG

What i said applies to ANY picture, not inperticularly the picture posted.
Jupm over to Matts Hi-res hideout, choose your car and crop the picture...

if i do that, ill either distort it by squishing it in, leave part of the car out, or leave too much space on the top and bottom. Thats why i need a picture thats more that size. it doesnt have to be exact, but the picture posted just was too short.
EDIT: found this picture, thought it looked cool
Crop it to the right proportions... not all the pics have the car almost to the edges. If I were you I'd pick one of something relatively far away on a track, then crop out the sides to make it the right proportions. You don't need to suish/stretch it.

Another alternative used many MANY years ago ....
The large advert billboards :) Get the paper and stick it to the wall ! The companies responsible for the billboards usually have their number on the board, so give them a call and ask nicely :) Pick your favourite car ad !!!
Or go for the latest bra one :D :D

ok, im officially doing my wall not my door. im priming it tommorow so i still have a couple days for suggestions. a little better since its a wall not a door so most pictures will fit. if not exactly ill try to be creative depending how much i like it.
so please post some pictures so i can really get a good look at the pictures i can use. it would be a great help

i have a Lamborghini Murcielago painting on my wall that is 2 meters long :)

ok, so im finishing up the white primer.
i figure i only wanna do this once so im gonna make a template of the picture im doing (attached). this is just to keep my proportions straight. Im going to project that template on my wall, trace over the projection, then draw the rest freehand. that way, it will look good and im not completely cheating. once i finish the drawing, ill start to paint.
