I'd just like to take this opportunity to wish all our neighbours in the States a happy Thanksgiving. I hope that all of you can enjoy it with friends and family and use it to reflect and give thanks to the things you are thankful for. For football fans, make sure you finish dinner before the game and enjoy that as well.

"For many Indian people, “Thanksgiving” is a time of mourning, of remembering how a gift of generosity was rewarded by theft of land and seed corn, extermination of many from disease and gun, and near total destruction of many more from forced assimilation. As currently celebrated in this country, “Thanksgiving” is a bitter reminder of 500 years of betrayal returned for friendship."
HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
We celebrate our own version of THANKSGIVING on September 16th of each year.
The date the Mayflower LEFT our shores !!
Partly :)
Seriously, have a nice meal with family/friends and thankful for what we have and others don't.

But without them we would lack illegal fireworks during independence day and casinos. So I can thank them for that.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone has a good time stuffing themselves full of unhealthy food.
Then you can wake up at 4 in the morning to go shopping on black friday.

Thanks all, Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.
To those of you brave enough to shop tomorrow: good luck and try not to catch an elbow over a good buy. :)

studying Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering in Modena. here University is split in two: 3 years of the base degree, and then two years of specialization. she was interested in the specialization in Vehicle Engineering, ans so I, but she latter discovered that her main interest is design, so she is not going to do the second part here but probably she will come back to San Francisco. besides the fact that Modena's University absolutely sucks (and the whole Italian studying system too)
I still don't know if it's my case too, but I could switch University too, don't know where I would be headed for though.

Why Italy/Modena then if it sucks? Why should he want to learn in a foreign language?

the fact that this University is not that good is something you can discover just after at least a couple of years or even more living here. when you move in another city (as I am not from Modena) you already pass quite some time wasting your time since you are finally alone (or without the parents, that is) living with other students and so on, so it takes a lot more time to understand what's going on around you. the system itself needs to be discovered within the time you pass in it. and that takes even more time if you come from another country.
since she is half mexican, the Italian language was not a big issues for her, both for the similarities between the two languages and for the fact she already spoke correctly english and spanish.
finally, why Modena? well, consider you like cars, that you like craftsmanship applied to cars, style, luxury and so on, where are you going to study, if you can choose? Detroit?!

I really don't know of any good automotive engineering programs.
