About two months later the house is coming together just fine. Once I manage to save some money I'll look into doing some cool landscaping (some small palm trees at the front of the house), upgrade the kitchen with new counter tops and cabinets, and then in the future it would be nice to add a swimming pool.

Anyway, so far we have new floors, base boards, entirely re-did both bathrooms (vanity, shower, floors, faucets, lights, etc), painted the entire house inside (including the garage and all the doors), changed all of the appliances in the kitchen + washer and dryer, and bought a whole lot of furniture since our previous apartment was rather small.

Some pics:

Thank you guys. PS3, surround, Ipod input, all there :D The TV is 40" hopefully will be upgrading to a 50-55 by the end of this year.

Yeah, that picture was taken the day that we received the keys... not sure as to why I was wearing that shirt, probably thinking about Wouter and the 2010 World Cup final.

Very nice Niko, bet it feels really good to settle in. I think Kitdy was asking about structure, cinderblock vs frame/stucco.
If your house didn't come with 'em, remember that hurricane shutters can save insurance $$$. :)

Are you in west Boynton?

I was actually referencing an old UCP joke that arose from a comment drakkie made about nopassn's house. More here (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showpost.php?p=833733&postcount=64). If you search "wood house" you can see that the joke has come up several times in the nearly 5 years since it started.

nopassn bought a house and drakkie thought that it was inferior quality as it was made of wood - here is the original thread from way back in 2006 (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28807).

This has some vintage sharp wit from W himself.

Congrats on the house. What was that gray colour you used on the wall? It looks amazing.

Nice house there sir. I didn't expect much from the outside, but I must say the inside looks very nice! :)

LOL!! Sorry I didn't pick on that! After that incident Wouter even added an Infraction Option to the Moderator's panel "Purchasing and/or flaunting a product of inferior quality (eg. a wood house)" lmao.

Thanks :) Nope, I need to update my info. I used to live in Congress and Gateway, now I moved to Deerfield Beach (SW 10th) right after Hillsboro.

Congrats on the new house :-) Looks pretty nice to me!

Thanks! Yep, it looks pretty small from the outside, but it actually has 4 bedrooms, and a one-car garage. The backyard is pretty big as well:

Thank you sir. Not sure about the color, my wife picked all the colors and I just followed orders :) I do know that she got it at Home Depot, probably "Behr".

Here she is on her 25th birthday (a month ago), missing some furniture and still had the old blinds.

Nice pic in the new home with your lovely wife .... but I think she looks pretty without the furniture and am intrigued how she wore it :).

Is "old blinds" a euphamism ??

( and we wonder why English is the hardest language to learn when even we can't hack it :) )
