since this forum seems to be about awd vs rwd i have a question.

in theory a awd car should defenetly have the upper hand more rubber more grip more power on the road. but....

when a rwd car shoots its power out the fromt side lifts a little making the grip in front almost none. that way al weigt goes to the back making the weigt on the rear wheels more and more "downforce" is more grip. so... is there really a difference (in a straight part that is) and also if awd should do better on track then why arent all le mans cars awd. just curious my thought was always that rear wheel drive was better.

before you go around making asumtions, and critisizing someone you dont know mabe you should actually look at the thread... if you look i didnt title the thread, the person asking the questions did and my post was in response to his questions. mabe your lashing out and negetive assumtions are because you took offence to the word noob and you yourself are one?

To launch a car from stationery a little wheel spin will stop the motor bogging down when you release the clutch. As launching the car is rarely done in Le mans, AWD would probably be prefereable to get all that power to the ground when you accelerate from corners.

I dunno much 'bout import, but when it comes to power, thats weak compared to a top fuel funny car, thay push out around 8000 horespower and 6000 ftlbs torque

explain to me the point of that statement... whats your point, every car made is "weak" when compared to a top fuel dragster. top fuel dragsters are "weak" compared to a f-14 with its engines pushing 30klbs. of thrust each... i ask again whats your point?
