2007 Toyota Corolla

There have been rumors of a 240hp + Corolla for the American market that would look somewhat similar to the Mazda 3. There even might be a TRD model with 260hp...any comments? Do you think Mazda will still steal the market? Or will Toyota dominate with their love of quality and drum brakes?

No way it will have that much power. They are goint to keep it an economy car and it will probably be compatible with E85 fuel.

The XRS model is only rated 164hp as it is. I don't see why they would desire to change it so drastically.

THe day a corolla get 200+ hp will be miracle, as for 260 out of no where doesn't seem like it's at all likely to happen..

Toyota would want to make the Mazdaspeed 3 look bad right? And the Mazda only has 240hp...

There was a T-Sport Compressor model for the UK Market, fitted with a blown 180kw (IIRC) 2ZZ.

They might just shove an interior and road-worthy engine back into the ARC Corolla Sportivo, which would be pretty cool

This post doesn't make much sense... Why would you want a 240bhp hot hatch and then make a 260bhp hotter version?
