Mazdaspeed 6

Does anyone know if they made the Mazdaspeed 6 any year except 06-07? I can't seem to find any other than 2006. Is it kinda like the Golf R32 where they only had it in the US in 2004?

there was the Mazdaspeed atenza in Japan in 2005, and the atenza is the 6. As for the US, no.

He didn't lose it that way. I remember he told me he was hit by another driver. It's been a while since then. I know it was an '05 model in black. I think he had bought some other Japanese car since then.

Do you mean the MPS 6 with the turbo 2.3 and AWD? Because that was only launched this year.

I think I've seen this car before. Too bad they produced so little of it. It would have been interesting to see it go up against something from Subaru or Mitsubishi, although it's not really a rally car. It could have the potential to be a pretty good one though, I think.

Mazdaspeed6 vs Evo = Evo 1 - Mazdaspeed6 0
Mazdaspeed6 vs STi = Sti 1 - Mazdaspeed6 0

These are actual results I got from my friends who own these cars (I was there but I didn't drive). I drive a Mazda6s and had test drove the Speed6. Not fast enough

My brother test drove the Mazda 6 MPS (aka. Mazdaspeed 6) and got it to keep for the night last night. He let me drive it and all I have to say was WOW! The boost is really strong and it's plenty fast enough for me He's thinking of buying one, so we'll see how that goes. It's really civilised until you step on it, at which point things start to get a bit scary. Brakes and handling are super as well.

Mazda 3MPS > Mazda 6MPS

Looks, Handling, Practicality, Cost.

The 6 looks Tryhard in any colour but black IMHO.

Sure the Speed 3 is more practical but it would never be as fast or as fun as the Speed 6. A sedan is all you really need on a daily basis.

Hardly. The 3 only has less than 10kw less then the 6, but is much lighter. Wheels tested it and it's ingear acceleration was better than an M5.

Really? Well then the FWD has got to have torque steer. The twisties to me are more important than straight line speed, although probably both are tightly matched. The 4WD system and the lighter weight could make up time in the twisties. Close match, but I still take the 6.

the 3 mps makes the same power (190kw) as the 6 mps and is about 250kg's lighter, it does torque steer a little but nothing unmanagable, 6mps meanwhile handles in much the same way coz its set up to have a front wheel drive bias
