I'm not impressed.
I think the owner was going for a powerful and reliable road car. He wasn't going for quarter mile times.

It's still a lot to put into an engine for just power and reliability.

^^^^ 650 hp is big HP for a reliable daily driver
What he said, also in the ad he said the to4 which isnt a huge turbo can be replaced for more hp. With how the engine is built a change of turbo and a remap of the ecu a 1000hp would be very easy to obtain.

quote from the advertisment

Since owning it I have spent a fortune on it. The cosmetics etc were already perfect, so I concentrated on extracting more power while keeping it as a daily driver. It has a brand new Top Secret RB28 engine (supplied by Prospec Motorsport) fitted approx 3,000 miles along with the rest of the spec which I will list below. All parts are new and the car currently pushes out 650bhp and over 500lbs/ft torque. The engine and fuel system are rated to 900ps and the car has the remainder of the kit necessary to safely run this with much time and money spent on cooling. To run mega power all you would need to do is fit a larger turbo (T51R for example) and remap. As a road car it is extremely quick and I don’t think there are many people who would want more power, response and low down torque than it already has.

I wouldnt be going on about dollars Johnny, I see you run a MG in your sig, the money it costs to build a MG engine to be competetive in circuit racing, we could be 3 new engines for our Rollas for the cost of one MG motor, why are the good bits for MG's so bloody expensive?

I come from a land down under, Where beer does flow and men chunder
I like it...except for the front bumper. There's just to much going on with that extra bottom section. I'd prefer the normal V-Spec 2 one.

I used to see this exact car every morning on the way to college ... I wouldn't want it purely because I don't want a sea of fanboys asking me 'Haz dat got nawz0rz lol?'.

The only problem with these cars are they need to raise the rev limiter so they can have more boost because without it the turbo will not reach full spool. This making the usable powerband for a very short rpm range. So a car like this with 1000hp would hardely be streetable.

Higher reving engines would have less torque and an even more narrow power band, resulting in a "Dyno queen"
