Can't decide

I'm looking to replace the less than stellar car I currently drive with something a with a little more......pizazz. I currently drive a (shudder) '04 Grand Am. I know, I know....not the best car buying decision I've made. That said, my top choices right now are either the Mazdaspeed3 or the WRX 5-door. But I just can't decide which is better. Help me please!!!!!

Mazdaspeed 3. Looks good on paper and I've heard it's one hella deal.

The WRX is much more idiot-proof (AWD) but uses more gas and looks way more mature.

I agree with Slicks (which is wierd because that keeps happening lately). That said, the WRX is still rated a lot higher as a driver's car, and is definately the one I'd go for. AWD will still give better handeling options than FWD, and it's a far better medium for deploying that much power.

WRX hands down, but you should test them both before you make any sort of decision

definately test both cars
and the WRX looks to be a better choice though the rear still looks funny...
Mazdaspeed 3 is more adventurous and sporting in style but the WRX would be better in handling

go the Subi bro, AWD, Boxer sound, good load space, servicing costs are quite low, easy to tune. You can actually drive it like a sports car in the wet.
both good cars but i think you'll always get a biased answer from me....WRX

i was thinking of something like an RX-4 or a capella or a TA celica actually but an old 911 would be viable in the US thanks to their lower price there, surely?

edit: 1977

What's wrong with a 3 or WRX? They are nice cars.

When you assume, you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me".

I would suggest the WRX because FWD is no fun at speed.
