I love the 135i Coupe, love the performance and really like the looks; in fact I look at that car and my M6 seems a bit too much. The EVO with its rally history is an icon and a hell of a sports car, but as an every day car: 135i every time.

It got the simple stuff right though. The 135i have more power and is lighter and for the first time in a BMW have proper brake hardware....

It's lacking a limited slip diff though, and it could still be lighter....

It is actually faster than the old one around a track, and i think straight line is very similar.

Not that I agree or disagree with their verdict, but, how fast a car goes on a track is largely irrelevent when regarding street cars.

True. I can't see how a small 2 door coupe is better for daily use than a 4 door saloon.

Well number of doors isn't that important either unless you're comapring family cars.

Wow, the 135 really surprised me. The only problem is, once you own a BMW you have to hangout with other BMW owners.

Arkansas, Conway, not so bad, really.
Isn't there an Apples v. Oranges thread in the car comparison forum?

then why would you need the 135 at all? why not a lesser model?

evo for looks and mitsubishi service costs...
looks aren't a big issue, but with the 135...goddamn.. it's not so bad from the front, but everywhere else...

I think the 135 coupe looks really nice, if maybe a little short and stumpy at the back. Great from the front.

now why is this?

to me the evo is one of those cars your really excited about for the first couple months you own it cause its relatively fast but after a little while i think i would be like, "wow, i own a kids car". whereas although the bimmer isn't the prettiest car in the world, at least its a mature car not a "rice rocket" and not the kind of car anyone over 25 should be embarrased to own.
