In most countries it is go from day 1. France has a 90 kph limit for the first year. Insurance premiums for young people reflect their proness to be involved in freak accidents.

The system works like this: Any newly insured person will start paying of the full insurance premium, but when is younger than 24 he will have to pay much more. From year one onwards you build up a no-claim rebate, which may ultimately reach 70% of the nominal premium. One insurance claim can drop back your no-claim rebate quite considerably, almost to the level where it becomes more advantageous to pay yourself for small repairs, or let insignificant damages unrepaired. (My car has two of such damages, of which repair would cost more than 5000 US$ together, but are really only cosmetics)

Yeah but who says that's where you want to keep it?

Anyway, the Supras are now illegal to bring to Denmark. So yes, it's gotta be fast.

A stock supra vs. a tt supra-big difference....i have a video of a tt supra racing a Hybusa with a turbo..(keep in mind its pretty dang hard to out run a streetbike period, hybusa's have the biggest factory streetbike engines), anyways in the video the busa gets the supra from the line, after like 3 sec. the supra owns that busa right off the road.... omg its the most chillin race video iv ever seen, more like an instant orgasm

lol, and you have? Provide proof if you did and then when you give us the proof attach an image of your Fast and the Furious collection and fake Nos Bottles. A picture of your ice-man intake and OBX muffler would make me a very happy man if that was included.

... im pretty sure it's rated 280 although japanese cars of this type are known to UNDER estimate their hp stats

and the block is one of the only things you'll never need to change, it doesnt determine power it just determines how reliable it is, it's tendency to overheat, and it's maximum displacement, it's the head that determines how much power an engine is going to make, get that strait

and extremely powerful cars like that with only two wheel drive will need SOOOO much downforce to keep it in line and usable that you'll be lowering it's ride height below the limit set by the law, and would make it unusable on the street

so incase you were thinking of creating a 900 hp beast thats streetable .... think again
Erm, no. Lots of this is crap. First off, it is rated at 280 ps in Japan, but the same config is quoted 320 bhp in the US. Believe the higher output.

I think most people are saying that the block does not need much modding. It can withstand tremendous power stock, over 700 hp. Yes, engines overheat, especially when the huge turbos required to make the 900 odd hp you can see in Japan are pumped up to 30 psi, but that is a problem easily solved. The displacement does not need changing, nor the head (though the 1jz is better than the stock 2jz head).

There are lots of examples with huge power, 900 + hp, that drive over 300 kph along the 'Wangan route' in japan, and they do it time and time again with no accidents. There are lots of ways to keep such a vehicle travelling straight.

While it is not a cheap exercise it can be done for much less than the price of a new ferrari. Yes the Supra is fairly quick, and yes, it can be a rocket with less fuss than most other cars.
