So it's like loud speakers or something?

It's an Ultrasonic device used by people who travel in the danger zones of Roo-Strike.

It emits a loud noise, of which the freqeuncy is so high that our human ears aren't meant to hear it, but the good ears of Kangaroos and other animals do, and so they have fair warning before they get clobbered by a Semi.

"Hey, i had my Shu-Roo on, they had plenty of time to get out of my way"....

And, speaking from experiance, it's best to hit the roo, rather than swerve to avoid it.

My dad lost two close workmates because of that, and a third is still recovering with pins in his arm and glass in his eye.

I've been trained, I guess.

It's better to have a roo on your bonnet than you upside in a ditch.

Roo's are severely bottom heavy though, so one standing in the middle of the road will still do considerable damage

The car can be replaced, as my dad always says.

You can't.
