Its definately easier to justify spending $2K on a $5K car than it is on a $2K car. Right now its all theoretical anyway. Once i get the clutch fixed i'll probably be perfectly happy with the performance again, right now im having to drive it like a slingshot; trying not to slow down through corners

I can see that becoming an issue clutch wise

My mate had a '89 N13 Vector Sedan - he used to treat that thing like S**t - chucked the handbrake on around a roundabout and we ended up backwards. much win, much awesomeness.

They're cool cars, but not something i'd sink money into.

Oh, and for the record, my sister's Astra has 167,000km, not bad for an '87 (it's less than my volvo.)

Well its better km's than mine, and 2 years older to boot. I had a look on carsguide and theres a fair few N13's and even N14's that are 250-300km's

Yeah - it's just a three speed auto

it's probably just felt like 250-300K Km for the driver and it's occupants

lol, my '91 vn had 287,000km's on it, 4 years ago, damn school taxi...the odometer stopped back then
