No, you tried to relate the US and our Camry, which are actually 2 different cars until now.

Not only that, the highest selling vehicle, let alone car, in the US would probably be the F150. Theyve got a different automotive atmosphere, so again its irrelevant to us and our Camry.

A hsv or fpv performance vehicle wouldn't even get close to a evo or a sti on the twisties, the hsv or fpv may be good in a straight line, that certainly are'nt in the same league when it comes to overall vehicle dynamics. If I had 55 grand to spend on a performance vehicle I would be seeing my local Mitsi or Suby dealer

If I had 55 grand and spent it on a ricer, I would go out to my toolshed and find a blunt screw driver and shove it up my nose all the way in and give myself a lobotomy. Quite happily in fact. Theres better ways to spend 55 large than on a STi or Evo. Like a secondhand BA XR8 for 30, pour 5 grand into the suspension, 5 grand into the donk and a couple of grand on some nice sticky gumballs, and then go hunten Evo's... and have enough change for fuel to run it for about 3 days the way fuel is going... and, ya know the best thing??? I can tow my skiboat with my XR8, and my caravan, and if I was really hard pressed to borrow someones landcruiser, I can tow a car trailer too. Do that in your piss-ant Evo I dare you... Oh, and five roomy seats, not even touching elbows in the front, wow...

Think someones used the screwdriver already , after you spent the money on the xr the evo would still own it in the twisities, overall package not just straightline performance.

Going by your avatar your into drag racing, so the labotomy had alrady been done

Ive seen people spend big money and go out to trackdays with their xr turbo and Monaro's and go round the track slower than the HQ's, very impressive

I reckon your skiboat would also have over transom pipes

Along the great ocean road, I have had heaps of fun in my WRX with guys in phoons mainly. They keep up, but I think the weight of the car gets too much after a while. HSV's and FPV's really do handle well and I think for their size, the vehicle dynamics are on the money.

Definetly agree the hsv and fpv products are great, I didnt bag the hsv of fpv product, cant quite work out why Daz got so cranky, all I was saying was if i was spending my own money I would get more evo but daz have to get all clever and have a personal attack.

Lets add some water to the road. Now try and drive hard in your RWD V8. And have you sat in an evo / subi. Plenty of room, unless you are fat
Don't go attacking fours if your argument is arrogant.

Subi's and Evo's are too spartan or hard edged for alot of people, i dont know if i could accept forking out that sort of money on something like that without either a) a 2nd, 3rd or 4th car so it doesnt matter, or b) turn it into a rice rocket.

Arrogant? Because I said I dont much like blown four bangers? Hmm. The boat has the pipes nice n low thanks... Also, I prefer my circuit racing to the drags, I just liked the picture. I was saying, as an all round product, a car that does everything, Id buy the XR. And pocket the change. At hidden valley, in the NT, the HQ's used ta do 1.33's. In a stock, worn out 1600cc TA22 celica I did 1.38's consistently. Those guys who spent all that money on the suspension etc of their Monaros and XRs obviously couldnt drive S**t through an s-bend.

But I wwould do it though. I know where theres a Ferrari 308 GTB for 40 grand... Id buy it before Id buy a Japper. And before you say somethen, I have driven them, both of them, and personal preference is that they are too small to feel confident enough to push REALLY hard in.

Too small in what way? Ive always found smaller cars are more comfortable when youre pushing. Ask Blue Supra what speed he used to take his Datsun through roundabouts, then how close the 200SX could get (if hes ever actually tried the comparison)
