Im prepared to bet I could get through the chain of ponds road quicker in a sorted XR than u in a Evo or rex... Find me a sorted XR... This is turning into a whose got the bigger dick thread... Lets leave it like this, I prefer to push my limits in a larger car with a V8, a mans car, you prefer to push in a car that appeals mostly to teenage boys and girls... hehe... And btw, if I had a 120y, I bet it would go through ANYTHING faster than a 200SX purely because the driver wouldnt be upset if he killed it.

It's only turning into a 'Bigger Dick' Thread because you allow it too - keep on topic (And open minded) and it'll be sweet

I Happen to think both modes of haulin' ass appeal - I love Big V8's, but my head tells me a quick, light, and above all, cheap Import is the way to go.

Each to their own, I suppose.

Well now youre including the element of driver talent and skill.

Pfft...Where have i clearly stated my preferences here? Ive said i'd take the 4cyl if i a) had an alternative car or b) was intending to take tuning the whole way. The original question/statement was ~$55K on a Performance car. I agree an XR, SS, HSV or FPV would be a better car for an allround car, but we're not discussing allround cars.

And thats supposed to mean what exactly?

Its great fun driving through chain of ponds at the limit . thats what race tracks are for. The FPV and HSV products are great but personally they dont get me excited. Iv'e driven some fast race cars and even the evo after 1st and 2nd is a bit of a yawn Like IB4R said each to their own.

I would probably believe it does the Camry have about 120-140kw? You probably left him at the lights

Yeh its about 135-140kw, which is close to the Commodores 151kw or whatever it is, but theres still a clear torque advantage there to the RWD

It's got more power then my car
A guy i spoke to about my car was saying my car would give the magnas and camrys a real go, Shows how fast they are cause myn would spank a VY, even a VZ (Not the SV6 M6).
You got to hang it on him, He might want a rematch Say no that pisses them off more

I come from a land down under, Where beer does flow and men chunder
HSV/FPV/V8s = Awesome for straights, not quite so good in the bends
EVO/STi/Whatever 2lt T AWD = Awesome for twisties, not so good in the bends.

Simple proof. Went to Wakefield and the GT Performance cars were running. The Kawasaki HSV GTS of Floyd Hammered down the straight but was out braked and out cornered by the EVO 8 of Holt. Pretty definitive.
