i'd probably look in Just Cars magazine, they dedicate about quarter of their book to fords so you should be able to find something

theres definately Capri's out there for sale, ive seen them myself for sale in Just cars magazine so i guess that decent ones get snapped up pretty quick. if you do find one, dont hesitate to make an offer or anything because i can gurantee if you dont show enough interest to the buyer, someone else will

351 in a capri would be suicide, i know the south africans put the 302 in the Sierra but that could handle the power and torque.

when your spending over 10K you may as well look at a Falcon GT, XA-XB gt's start at around 10K whilst XW-XY's start around 15K for decent ones

Well they came out with 302s not 351s...they used windsor not clevlands and weighed in at 1020kg...manaul top loader versions suggestable for an experianced driver...
The seirra was a saphire body with an aussie built 302 clevland and it was called....GET this the XR8 it beat ford aus by roughly 4 years....

well the aussie built 302's and 351's were supposedly stronger than even the clevelands, making them a favourite with drag racers, but with the XR8 bit i guess its all water under the bridge as the very first was the cougar XR7 of 1967

Well do you know how the couger xr7 got its name? neiter do i but you can garentee its not because a of a 7 cylender engine

well i would expect a NASCAR block to withstand loads that high, same as i'd have similar expectations for an SVO 302 block. well the XR7 wasnt the only car to have the XR monicker and have a different amount of cylinders, there was also the XR2 late model capri that obviously wasnt a 2 cylinder......other than the falcons the only model to follow the trend was the XR4 Sierra
