Holden not so healthy

Holden has announced it's 2nd year of losses, as sales slip again.

Full story in the SMH

Oh dear.

Well a loss was to be expected - what with the development and launch costs of the VE.

hopefully this does not translate long term and they can start making some money.....

Not good. Could this be a factor in Denny's departure?

If they don't generate profit this year, they definitely should in 08, with VE and WM exports in full swing.

I doubt the actual development was factored in, the article mentioned the tooling and launch costs, and IIRC the broken down figures had the actual development somewhere around $600m

Someone pushed the delete button... but the second scenario seems equally plausible

A guy named colt450, he posted in 10 different threads, mostly to give links to radiators and performance parts.

Well, I really do hope Holden posts some profits. I definitely want to see Holden stick around for a long while yet.

Although I am a Ford man (hence the name), I hope Holden get the money coming in again! But wait for Ford :

Is it true that the new Ford Falcon is going to use a V6 instead of an I6? If so, that's pretty weak.

Apparently yes, the Duratec V6. Money-wise it was a natural decision.
